There’s a grief associated with this time of year as the sun retreats toward the skyline and the crops begin to wither. The leaves are changing and making their descent, readying their bodies to feed the earth and the roots below. Shadows grow long and the golden hour seems to last ages.

Datura is our friend during this time, holding our hand as we make our way toward the looming gates of the underworld. The veil is thinning, the wheel of the year coming to a close. Calm awareness, soft focus, these are the things needed as we make this transition and hold space for the turning wheel.
